About Reid M.
Reid M. Hart built the foundation for his legal career through a traditional academic path. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, with a minor in Philosophy, from the University of North Florida in 2006 after beginning his studies in 2002. He then attended Stetson University College of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor in 2009.
After law school he became a member of the Florida bar and moved into criminal defense work. Early in his career he took on volunteer and leadership roles in local organizations. Between 2010 and 2013 he served as Co-Chair of the Criminal Law Section of the St. Petersburg Bar Association. During the same period he was active in Pinellas County legal circles, serving as Vice President of both the Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Pinellas County Trial Lawyers Association from 2012 to 2013. He was also a member of the Barney Masterson Inn of Court from 2011 to 2013.
Hart’s professional memberships extend across the state. He joined the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2010 and holds current membership. He has been part of the Northeast Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2014 and the Jacksonville Bar Association since 2015. He is also listed as a member of Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity, a long-standing legal honors society, since 2007. He belonged to the Jacksonville Beaches Bar Association from 2014 until 2018.
His work centers on criminal defense practice in Florida courts.
