About Reid A.

Reid A. Jones graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science and earned his J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2012. He was admitted to the Louisiana bar in 2012 and is authorized to practice in the state as well as in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the federal district courts in the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Louisiana. Those admissions have shaped a practice that moves between state and federal dockets.

He began his legal career after law school and now works as an associate at Wiener, Weiss & Madison, A Professional Corporation. In that role he prepares pleadings, handles motion practice and supports trial teams. His work involves written advocacy and courtroom appearances across multiple venues. He has experience drafting briefs for appellate proceedings and filings in federal district courts, informed by the procedural rules that govern those courts.

Courtroom work forms a consistent part of his responsibilities. He appears in Louisiana state courts and in the federal districts that cover the state. He also files and argues matters before the Fifth Circuit when cases advance beyond the district court level. That combination of trial and appellate practice requires attention to deadlines and to the different standards that apply at each stage of litigation.

Jones is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and has been listed with that organization since 2012. His bar membership reflects ongoing ties to the local legal community and to the rules and practices that govern attorneys in Louisiana. He maintains professional registration in the jurisdictions in which he appears and handles matters in accordance with court procedures and ethical obligations.

Colleagues describe his role at the firm as that of a supporting litigator who manages day-to-day case work and contributes to longer-term litigation strategy. He assists with client interviews, fact development, discovery and trial preparation. His tasks include preparing evidentiary submissions and coordinating with experts when complex factual issues arise.

He continues to serve as an associate at Wiener, Weiss & Madison, A Professional Corporation, handling matters in Louisiana state and federal courts.
