About Regina
Regina Kiperman studied economics and the interdisciplinary Politics, Philosophy and Law program at the State University of New York at Binghamton before heading to New York City for law school. She earned her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2009. Those years set the stage for a practice centered on elder law and guardianship work.
Her legal career began in the summer of 2008 as a law clerk at Herzfeld & Rubin. After law school she joined Grimaldi & Yeung LLP in 2009 as an associate. In 2011 she moved to Epstein Becker & Green LLP, where she continued to handle matters involving guardianship, trusts and estate administration. She returned to Grimaldi & Yeung in a later role and became a partner there in 2016. A year after making partner she launched her own practice, RK Law PC, and has led that firm since 2017.
Kiperman is admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey. Over the years she has taken on multiple roles that intersect with the court system beyond private representation. She appears on the Office of Court Administration Part 36 list as a court evaluator and serves in court-appointed capacities including guardian ad litem, lawyer for an alleged incapacitated person (AIP), and supplemental needs trustee and guardian.
Professional memberships have been part of her network. She joined the New York City Bar Association in 2013 and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys in 2015. Those affiliations place her among peers who handle complex elder law and fiduciary issues, and they have informed how she approaches cases that combine medical, social and legal concerns.
Her practice has covered a mix of contested guardianship matters, fiduciary administration and planning for clients with special needs. She routinely prepares guardianship petitions, represents proposed guardians and guardians ad litem, and handles trust and estate administration where older adults or incapacitated persons are involved. The combination of court-appointed work and private representation gives her frequent courtroom exposure and familiarity with procedural and evidentiary demands in these cases.
Kiperman runs RK Law PC from its New York-area offices. She continues to accept court appointments and private matters in guardianship, fiduciary administration, trusts and estates, and supplemental needs planning, practicing primarily in New York and New Jersey.
