Rebecca West is a attorney specializing in family law and personal injury cases in Lexington, South Carolina. She has been practicing law in South Carolina since 2000, following her graduation from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Prior to her legal career, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Lander University in 1997. After law school, Ms. West began her legal career at Oswald Law Firm, LLC in West Columbia, South Carolina, where she worked from November 2000 to May 2004. During this time, she represented clients in personal injury actions, workers' compensation claims, family court actions, probate court, and federal bankruptcy court. She served as sole trial counsel in many cases in the Court of Common Pleas, Magistrate's Court, and Family Court. She also regularly represented claimants before the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission.

In June 2004, Ms. West joined Masella Law Firm, P.A. in Columbia, South Carolina, where she focused exclusively on family law matters. She became a partner in the firm and continued her practice until June 2009. In July 2009, she joined the Law Office of Richard Breibart, LLC in Lexington, South Carolina, where she served as the family law group supervising attorney until May 2012. Upon learning of Mr. Breibart's suspension from the practice, she resigned, and the firm dissolved on June 1, 2012. Following her departure from the Law Office of Richard Breibart, Ms.

West formed Rebecca West, Attorney at Law, P.A. in May 2012. However, she dissolved this firm in April 2013 and co-founded Harling & West, LLC in June 2012, where she continues to practice. Her practice is dedicated solely to family law, representing clients in Family Court and handling appeals in the South Carolina appellate courts. She also has a family law mediation practice and mediates several times each month. She serves as the administrative and financial manager of the firm and oversees the family law trust account. Ms. West is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and serves as a Certified Family Court mediator.

She is a member of the Lexington County Bar Association, having served as its president in 2014, the American Bar Association's Family Law Section, the South Carolina Association for Justice. The South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. She has been recognized by legal rating organizations, including being selected to South Carolina Super Lawyers in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2024, and 2025, and to South Carolina Legal Elite in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.
