About Rebecca
Rebecca Sallen’s academic path mixed the liberal arts and professional training across several institutions. She earned a B.S. from Union College in 1999, followed by a B.A. from Emory University in 2001. She completed her legal education at Saint Louis University School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2007.
Her early career drew on both law and public affairs. In 2004 she worked as a political consultant for the Democratic Party. After law school she served as a judicial law clerk in 2008 to Hon. Audrey Fleissig. That clerkship was followed by an associate position in 2009 at Perlberger Law Associates, P.C. By 2011 she had moved into a partner role at Sallen Law.
Sallen is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Her practice developed around matters commonly handled in the probate and estate planning arenas. Colleagues and clients see her work in wills, trusts, probate administration and related tax concerns. She also engages with issues affecting older clients and families, an interest reflected in long-standing involvement with the Alzheimer’s Association.
Professional involvement has been steady and local. She has been a member of the Montgomery Bar Association since 2010 and has served as Treasurer of its Probate and Tax Section since 2017. She joined the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council and WealthCounsel in 2013, and she has been a member of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association since 2010. Those memberships have informed a practice that relies on current procedures for estate administration and trust drafting.
Her background includes courtroom exposure from the clerkship and practical firm experience at Perlberger before taking on a leadership role at Sallen Law. The combination of clerking, firm practice and bar service gives her a practice perspective that spans procedural detail and client counseling. She has balanced transactional work with representation in probate matters, advising families through administration and distribution questions.
Clients tend to encounter her when setting up estate plans, revising existing documents after life changes, or when navigating probate after a death. She maintains professional ties across New Jersey and Pennsylvania and participates in local bar activities and continuing education programs. She currently practices at Sallen Law, handling estate planning, probate, trusts and related tax matters.
