About Rebecca
Rebecca Hurst grew up in Kentucky and built her legal foundation in the state. She earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Eastern Kentucky University in 2009, then went on to receive her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2013. Her academic path combined an interest in human behavior with the doctrinal rigors of law school.
Her practical training began while she was still a student. In 2012 she interned at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky, gaining exposure to federal practice and courtroom procedure. The following year she served as an extern clerk to Justice Mary Noble at the Kentucky Supreme Court, observing appellate decision-making at the state’s highest level.
After law school she moved into private practice and into firm leadership quickly. Since 2013 she has been the managing partner of Hurst & Hurst Law. That role put her in charge of day-to-day operations, client intake, and supervising legal work across the firm’s offices. Colleagues describe her as practical and detail-oriented when it comes to case management and firm administration.
Hurst maintains active professional memberships. She has been a member of the Kentucky Bar Association since 2013 and also belongs to the Kentucky Justice Association and the American Bar Association, both since 2012. The Kentucky Bar Association has recognized her participation in continuing legal education programs, and the firm lists a Kentucky law license among her credentials.
Her career has kept her rooted in Kentucky courts and communities. She runs the firm from its Harrodsburg office as well as the firm’s other location, coordinating local client work and overseeing litigation and transactional files. The combination of state appellate exposure, federal internship experience, and immediate responsibility in private practice has shaped a steady, practical approach to legal work.
She continues to serve clients through Hurst & Hurst Law and manages the firm’s caseload from its Harrodsburg and other office locations. Her current practice focuses on representing clients throughout Kentucky from the firm’s offices.
