About Rebecca Eileen
Rebecca Eileen Puhac entered legal studies after completing a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1996. She then enrolled at Duquesne University School of Law, where she completed her Juris Doctor in 2000. Her academic path combined an early interest in the structures of criminal law with formal legal training in Pittsburgh.
Following law school, Puhac established her legal career in Pennsylvania. She is licensed to practice in the state and has maintained a presence in its courts and legal community. Over the years she has drawn on both her undergraduate and law school education to approach cases with attention to procedural detail and statutory framework.
Colleagues describe Puhac as methodical in her preparation and direct in her courtroom manner. She favors clarity in filings and in oral argument. Those habits grew out of years spent learning how rules of evidence and criminal procedure operate in practice, first in classes and then in professional settings.
Puhac’s early decision to study criminal justice has continued to inform her perspective as an attorney. That background offers context when evaluating investigative records, witness statements and prosecutorial decisions. It also gives her a foundation for assessing risk and strategy when advising clients or preparing for trial.
Her practice has centered on serving clients across Pennsylvania. She has experience handling matters that require litigation skills, as well as matters that involve detailed statutory or regulatory analysis. Clients and peers note that she communicates plainly about options and trade-offs, which can make complex legal problems easier to navigate.
Outside of court, Puhac has remained engaged with continuing legal education and the professional networks that sustain courtroom practice. She has attended seminars and programs to stay current on changes in procedure and case law that affect litigators in the state.
Now in practice in 2026, Rebecca Eileen Puhac continues to represent clients in Pennsylvania and to apply her combined training in criminal justice and law to the cases she handles. She presently practices law in Pennsylvania, representing clients in state matters.
