About Raymond Thomas

Raymond Thomas Weicker built a foundation in the liberal arts and law before returning to graduate study in finance. He earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Franklin & Marshall College and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, both completed in 1992. Years later he moved back into academia at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where he completed an M.S. in Finance in 2017 and also earned an MBA in Finance and Management.

Weicker began his legal career after law school in the early 1990s. He has practiced in the Northeast ever since, gaining experience in matters that require an understanding of both legal and financial issues. His admissions include the bars of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York, which has allowed him to represent clients across multiple state lines and to handle matters that cross jurisdictions.

Mid-career, Weicker returned to study finance more formally. That shift broadened the range of work he could take on and added quantitative tools to the legal training he had already developed. The combination of a law degree and graduate finance credentials informs how he assesses risk, evaluates transactions and frames legal advice. His background in environmental studies also colors his approach on matters where regulatory and environmental concerns intersect with commercial considerations.

Over the years he has worked in private practice settings and in roles that required coordinating with other professionals, including financial analysts and regulatory specialists. Colleagues describe his style as methodical and practical. He tends to approach complex matters by breaking them into discrete issues, then addressing each in sequence. That approach has been a throughline from his earliest years in practice to his current work.

Today he is principal at Weicker Law, PLLC. He runs a small practice that handles a range of matters drawing on law, finance and environmental knowledge. Clients who seek someone with legal training coupled with formal study in finance find his background relevant. He maintains licenses in four states and continues to split his time among transactional and advisory matters.

He practices at Weicker Law, PLLC and handles matters that draw on his background in law, finance and environmental studies.
