About Randy

Randy Alberhasky earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 1994 after completing a B.S. at the University of Iowa in 1988. His education laid a straightforward path into practice. He moved from law school into private practice in the same year he graduated.

He began his legal career as an associate at Placzek & Francis in 1994. The early years gave him regular courtroom exposure and a steady docket of client matters. Those formative experiences shaped how he approaches litigation and firm management.

In 2003 he became managing partner of The Alberhasky Law Office. In that role he shifted between litigation and administrative duties. He manages case flow and supervises staff while continuing to try cases. The balance of courtroom work and running an office defines much of his daily routine.

Alberhasky is admitted to practice in Missouri and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He belongs to local and state bar organizations. He serves on the executive board of the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers and holds a sustaining membership in the Springfield Metropolitan Bar. Those memberships keep him connected to peers and current developments in trial procedure.

Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic. He favors preparation and clarity over flash. In court he relies on direct examination, focused cross-examination and careful motion practice. Outside the courtroom he tends to emphasize realistic risk assessments and early case evaluation when counseling clients.

Over the years he has handled a range of civil matters and has established a practice rooted in litigation. He has continued to appear in trial courts and at appellate levels when cases require it. He also attends continuing legal education seminars and participates in bar activities that relate to trial work.

He lives and practices in Springfield and directs his firm’s operations while maintaining an active caseload. His work combines courtroom engagement with the responsibilities of managing a small law office. He currently maintains a litigation practice and oversees The Alberhasky Law Office.
