Randolph H. Wolf is an attorney based in Red Bank, New Jersey, with a specialization in criminal law, DUI & DWI defense, and juvenile law. His legal career began in 1983 after his admission to the New Jersey State Bar. A year later, in 1984, he was admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. By 1985, Mr. Wolf expanded his practice to the federal level, gaining admission to the U.S.
Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Rutgers University in 1983, solidifying his academic credentials. Before embarking on his legal journey, Mr. Wolf completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Computer Science in 1980. His legal career took off in 1984 when he joined Cassidy, Despo, Foss & San Filippo in Red Bank, New Jersey. There, he focused on trial work in both Superior and Municipal Courts, gaining inexperience in the courtroom. In 1986, Mr.
Wolf gained national recognition as a lead trial lawyer in the Matter of Baby M. This landmark case involved the representation of a surrogate mother and challenged the enforceability of surrogate contracts in New Jersey. The case not only brought attention to the details of reproductive rights but also highlighted Mr. Wolf’s skills as a trial attorney. Following this high-profile case, he founded his own firm in 1987, concentrating on civil trial work and criminal matters in the Superior Court, as well as criminal and motor vehicle offenses in Municipal Courts. Over the years, Mr. Wolf has handled several hundred personal injury actions and more than a thousand criminal and motor vehicle cases.
His experience includes representing defendants in both Superior and Municipal Courts, showcasing his versatility and commitment to his clients. Active in the legal community, he has been a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association since 1992, serving as Chairman of the Meetings and Programs Committee and participating in the Criminal Practice Committee. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Wolf has made significant contributions to the legal community. In 2015, he taught an expungement seminar on behalf of the Monmouth County Bar Association. This seminar covered the expungement process in New Jersey, including eligibility requirements and recent developments in expungement case law. His dedication to educating others supports his improving the legal field in New Jersey and supporting fellow attorneys in their professional development.
