About Randall B.
Randall B. Clark built his path through classrooms and courtrooms. He began as a student of history and politics, then moved into legal study. His academic credentials include a B.A. in history from the University of Virginia, an M.A. in international politics and a Ph.D. in political philosophy from the University of Chicago, and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
His doctoral work and graduate studies steeped him in theory and careful analysis. Those years in political philosophy and international politics left an imprint on how he reads statutes and structures arguments. He completed his law degree after a long academic run, bringing a scholar’s habits into legal training and practice.
Clark launched his own practice in 2006. He founded Randall Baldwin Clark, Lawyer at Law, PLLC and built a small firm intended to deliver deliberate, text-driven advocacy. Around the same period he maintained ties to academia. In 2011 he served as an assistant professor of philosophy at St. John’s University, teaching courses that intersect law, ethics and political thought.
Over the years Clark has qualified to practice in multiple forums. He is admitted in New Hampshire and Massachusetts and holds admission to the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He maintains current memberships in both the New Hampshire Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association, a reflection of his regional practice and professional involvement.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and direct in courtroom presentation. His background in philosophy appears in courtroom strategy: careful definitions, structured argument, attention to underlying principles. That intellectual approach shapes case assessment, briefing and oral argument, and it informs the way he mentors younger lawyers at his firm.
He continues to operate Randall Baldwin Clark, Lawyer at Law, PLLC and accepts matters arising in the two New England states and in federal appellate proceedings within the First Circuit. He currently practices through his firm, representing clients in state and federal matters in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and the First Circuit.
