\n\nMr. Hoch earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1985. Prior to his legal career, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in American Government from Georgetown University in 1977.\n\nIn 1992, Florida Governor Lawton Chiles appointed Mr.

Hoch as a Judge of Compensation Claims, making him Florida's first openly LGBTQ+ judge. He served in this role until 1996, after which he returned to his private practice in West Palm Beach.\n\nThroughout his career, Mr. Hoch has been a dedicated advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.

In 1988, he founded the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council, an organization committed to ending discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Under his leadership, the council has been instrumental in enacting over 150 local laws protecting the LGBTQ+ community.\n\nMr. Hoch has received numerous accolades for his contributions to civil rights and the legal profession.

In 2018, he was named a \"Top Lawyer\" by Marquis Who's Who, recognizing his experience and leadership in the field.\n\nHe is admitted to practice law in Florida and the District of Columbia.
