About Rand Elliott

Rand Elliott Pinsky is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1974. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Pinsky is of counsel at The Reape-Rickett Law Firm, a family law firm located in Valencia, California. He has been practicing law for over 50 years, serving clients throughout the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas.

Mr. Pinsky earned his Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 1974. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at California State University, Northridge, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1971. During his time at Southwestern University, he focused on family law and dispute resolution.

Mr. Pinsky concentrates his practice in the areas of family law, divorce mediation, and alternative dispute resolution. He represents individuals and families in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and paternity. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation and mediation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Pinsky has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining The Reape-Rickett Law Firm in 2020, he was the managing attorney of the Divorce Mediation Center of Santa Clarita, where he expanded his focus on alternative dispute resolution. He has also volunteered as a Judge Pro Tem and Family Law Mediator throughout Los Angeles County courts.

Mr. Pinsky is an active member of the Santa Clarita Valley Bar Association, which he co-founded in 2005. He is also a member of the family law sections of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, San Fernando Valley Bar Association, and the California State Bar Family Law Section. In 2020, he was voted the Ultimate Divorce Lawyer in Santa Clarita. Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Pinsky is a nationally renowned tournament bridge player and serves on the national board of directors of the American Contract Bridge League. He resides in Valencia with his wife and pets.
