About Ralph

Ralph Gzik built a path from a technical undergraduate degree into the courtroom. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Chemistry from Oregon State University in 2009, then completed his law degree at the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2012. The mix of science and business in his early studies informs a practical approach to legal problems.

He began his legal career after law school and has practiced in Oregon ever since. Over the years he has taken on roles that extend beyond individual cases. He joined the Washington County Bar Association as a director in 2017 and later took on the association’s presidency in 2020. Those positions placed him in the middle of local bar administration and community legal initiatives.

Gzik has also been active at the state level. He serves as Chair Elect of the Oregon State Bar New Lawyers Division, a role he took on in 2019. That position involves working on programs and policies aimed at lawyers early in their careers. His engagement in bar affairs complements his membership in the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, which he joined in 2013.

Colleagues describe his work as practical and detail-oriented. His background in chemistry and business gives him additional perspective when cases involve technical or economic issues. He has handled matters that require courtroom preparation and client counseling, and he has participated in trial settings through his affiliation with trial-focused organizations.

At the same time, Gzik has maintained ties to the local legal community. His leadership roles in Washington County provide a platform for mentoring newer lawyers and shaping local bar services. He has overseen programs and events intended to improve access to resources for attorneys and the public in his county.

He practices at Kroll & Johnson, PC in Oregon. There he handles litigation matters and participates in courtroom work, drawing on both his trial association membership and his local bar leadership to guide his practice.

He currently practices at Kroll & Johnson, PC, where his work involves litigation and trial-related matters in Oregon state courts.
