Raef Cogan earned his law degree from The George Washington University Law School in 2017 after completing undergraduate studies at New York University in 2013. His academic path combined a major research university for undergraduate work with a law school in the nation’s capital, a pairing that exposed him to both broad legal theory and the practical demands of litigation.
After law school, Cogan entered private practice. He is an associate at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell LLP. At the firm he has worked on matters that take him into both federal and state courts. His practice is shaped by courtroom procedure and written advocacy. He has experience in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California and has appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is also admitted to practice in California.
