About Rachel
Rachel Li earned her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 2006. She completed law school during a period of shifting family-law practice, then entered the Texas legal market ready to work on contested domestic matters and related proceedings.
She began her career as a lawyer in 2008 at the Law Office of L.R. Tipton, PC. After a year there she moved into private practice leadership. In 2009 she became principal of the Law Office of Rachel Li, PLLC, a small firm where she has overseen client work and managed daily operations since then.
Her professional credentials reflect a concentration on family law. She holds board certification in Family Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is also a Certified Guardian ad Litem and a Certified Lawyer ad Litem in the State of Texas. Those certifications signal specific training and authorization to represent and evaluate the interests of children and other parties in family-court matters.
In Denton County she participates in the ADR program as a family law mediator. That role places her in settlement settings where parties explore negotiated resolutions outside of trial. She also maintains memberships in several local and regional bar associations, including the Dallas Asian Bar Association, the Frisco Bar Association, the Collin County Bar Association, and the Denton County Bar Association. Those affiliations keep her connected to peers and to educational programming on changes to procedure and local practice.
Her practice over the years has included courtroom work, negotiated settlements and representation in custody, support and divorce matters, consistent with the contours of family law in Texas. At the Law Office of Rachel Li, PLLC she balances casework with the administrative responsibilities of running a small firm. Clients encounter a practice shaped by family-law specialization and by credentials that permit appointment as an ad litem or mediator in appropriate cases.
She continues to practice in Texas as principal of the Law Office of Rachel Li, PLLC, serving clients in family-law matters and acting as a mediator and as a court-appointed guardian ad litem and lawyer ad litem when appointed.
