About Rachel Berlin
Rachel Berlin Benjamin built a foundation in the liberal arts before turning to law. She earned a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and later completed her J.D. at Pace University. Those academic years gave her a broad perspective she brought into legal practice.
Her professional credentials include admission to state and federal bars in multiple jurisdictions. She is admitted in New York and Georgia and is authorized to appear in several federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. These admissions have allowed her to take on matters in both trial and appellate settings.
Benjamin has been active in bar and professional organizations that reflect her practice interests. She holds memberships in the National Employment Lawyer’s Association and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers. Those affiliations have kept her connected to developments in employment law and to networks of litigators and advocates working on workplace issues.
Over the course of her career she has handled litigation in state and federal venues. She has experience managing cases through discovery, motion practice and trial preparation. She has also appeared in appellate proceedings where questions of law and procedural posture shaped clients’ options. Her courtroom work is complemented by counseling clients on litigation strategy and procedural choices.
Her practice spans matters that commonly arise in employment and civil litigation. She represents clients before administrative bodies and in court, addressing disputes that range from contract and employment claims to related litigation arising from workplace and business conflicts. She works on pleadings, briefs and motions, and conducts hearings and trials when cases proceed to those stages.
Benjamin is currently on the roster at Beal Sutherland Berlin & Brown LLC, where she continues to represent clients in both state and federal matters. She maintains an active caseload in New York and Georgia and appears regularly in the federal courts to which she is admitted. She currently focuses on employment and civil litigation at Beal Sutherland Berlin & Brown LLC.
