About Porscha
Porscha Brown moves comfortably between ledgers and case law. She arrived at the law after a dual undergraduate grounding in political science and accountancy, and she followed that with both a J.D. and an advanced degree in corporate law. Her academic path produced a mix of skills that inform how she approaches legal problems today.
Brown earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Accountancy from Norfolk State University. She then attended Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, where she completed a J.D. and later an LL.M. in Corporate Law. The LL.M. concentrated on legal issues facing global companies. That combination of law and accounting shaped her early interests in corporate practice and civil litigation.
She is admitted to practice in Georgia and Virginia. After law school Brown took on litigation and corporate matters that drew on both disciplines. Her accounting background helped make complex financial documents easier to parse for clients and for the courtroom. The political science training contributed to a practical sense of institutions and process.
In 2019 Brown became managing lawyer at Christina Pendleton and Associates. In that role she has overseen case intake, supervised staff, and handled matters for individual and corporate clients. The managing position also put her in the position of training younger lawyers and refining office procedures. Her work there spans transactional review, contract analysis, and litigation strategy.
Brown holds membership in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. She has used that membership to stay current on trial practice trends and procedural developments in Virginia. Her professional activity reflects an interest in both courtroom procedure and the business side of legal practice.
Those elements — accountancy, corporate training, and litigation experience — shape how Brown evaluates cases. She tends to break problems into discrete financial and legal questions, then tackle each with an eye toward practical resolution. That method has framed her work at Christina Pendleton and Associates since she stepped into the managing lawyer role.
She continues to practice at Christina Pendleton and Associates, where her work includes corporate law matters, contract review, and litigation support.
