About Poonam K.
Poonam K. Lakhani built a foundation in Illinois education before entering the practice of law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2006 and went on to receive her J.D. from DePaul College of Law in 2011. Her time in law school coincided with the years many young lawyers use to ground themselves in litigation skills, research, and client advocacy.
After law school, Lakhani moved into private practice and took on the role of associate at The Prinz Law Office. In that capacity she has handled client matters that require filings and appearances in both state and federal forums. Her work as an associate has involved the routine demands of litigation practice: drafting pleadings, preparing briefs, and managing case files through various stages of proceedings.
Lakhani is admitted to practice in Illinois and holds admissions to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
