About Philip N.

Philip N. Maples earned his J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2012. He came out of law school into public service and early courtroom work. The legal training he received at LSU set the foundation for a career in Louisiana courts.

He began his professional career as an Assistant District Lawyer in the St. John District Lawyer's Office in 2012. In that role he moved quickly into hands-on case work, handling filings, client interviews and appearances in district court. Three years later he joined the 23rd Judicial District Lawyer's Office as an Assistant District Lawyer in 2015. Those years in district offices gave him daily exposure to trial practice and the rhythm of prosecutorial work across a range of matters in state court.

After gaining experience in public prosecution, Maples shifted to private practice. He now serves as Lawyer and Counselor at Law at Maples Law Office, LLC. In private practice he draws on his background in district offices to advise clients, prepare cases for court and manage litigation strategy. Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and steady during courtroom work.

Maples balances courtroom experience with client counseling. He has handled the procedural demands of trials and the deadlines of criminal dockets, and he brings that procedural fluency to advising people who face legal problems in state court. He works directly with clients from initial intake through to resolution, and he prioritizes clarity in explaining options and next steps.

He is licensed to practice in Louisiana and maintains an active practice in the state. His office, Maples Law Office, LLC, serves clients in matters that require courtroom representation, trial preparation and ongoing legal counsel. He continues to handle cases in Louisiana courts and to provide clients with representation and legal guidance appropriate to their individual matters.
