About Philip
Philip Dalmage trained first as a student of criminal justice and then as a lawyer. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Marquette University and went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. Those classrooms and clinics shaped how he approaches facts and testimony. They also provided the foundation for the legal work that followed.
After law school, Dalmage entered practice in Illinois. He serves as a lawyer at Loftus & Eisenberg, Ltd, where he has handled matters on behalf of the firm’s clients. His work is grounded in the principles he learned during his academic years. He applies analytical methods and advocacy skills developed at UIC Law to everyday case work.
Dalmage is a member of the State Bar of Illinois. He is admitted to practice law in Illinois and carries out his professional duties under that jurisdiction. He maintains current membership in the state bar and engages with its resources and continuing legal education offerings as part of his practice routine.
Colleagues describe him as straightforward in the office and attentive with clients. He approaches casework methodically. He reviews evidence, prepares filings, and appears where necessary. He has worked on files assigned by the firm and taken positions in court when the circumstances called for it.
Outside of courtroom or office hours, Dalmage’s background in criminal justice remains part of how he thinks about law. That undergraduate training gives him a practical perspective on investigative processes and the systems that bring cases to lawyers. It also helps him translate procedural detail into arguments that judges and opposing counsel can follow.
He practices in the Illinois legal system and draws on the institutional knowledge of a Chicago-area law firm. His role at Loftus & Eisenberg, Ltd involves representing the firm’s clients on matters in Illinois and contributing to the team handling those files. He currently practices at Loftus & Eisenberg, Ltd, representing clients in Illinois.
