About Philip

Philip Adams earned his law degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, graduating with a J.D. in 2015. He previously completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 2011. Those academic years laid a foundation in analytical reasoning and legal training that shaped his early approach to practice.

After law school, Adams entered private practice and built experience in both state and federal courts. He is admitted to practice in Louisiana and in the Western District of Louisiana. He also holds admission to the U.S. Supreme Court and to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Those admissions reflect work that spans trial-level litigation and appellate matters.

His career has involved courtroom work and appellate filings. He has handled pleadings, motions, and hearings in district court and prepared appellate briefs and records for higher courts. The admissions to the Fifth Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court allow him to pursue matters beyond the trial court level when clients need appellate review. He approaches each matter with an emphasis on clear legal analysis and careful preparation.

Adams practices from the Law Offices of Philip B. Adams, LLC, a firm he established to provide direct representation to individuals and businesses. He manages client intake, case strategy, and courtroom advocacy through that office. Running a small firm has meant balancing litigation tasks with client communication and case management, and he has made those skills central to how he operates day to day.

Clients see him as a practitioner who works through the mechanics of a case: gathering the record, drafting succinct filings, and pressing arguments when the situation requires. He handles disputes in Louisiana courts and brings federal claims or defenses where appropriate. On appeal, he prepares briefing and presents legal issues to appellate panels when necessary.

He is an active litigator in both trial and appellate venues, holding admissions that include the Western District of Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He currently handles state and federal litigation and appellate matters through the Law Offices of Philip B. Adams, LLC.
