About Peter

Peter McClenahan earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2002. He finished his legal training in the early 2000s, joining a generation of attorneys who entered the profession during a period of change in litigation practice and regulatory oversight. Those formative years at law school shaped his approach to research and writing, and gave him the foundations for courtroom preparation and negotiation.

After graduating, McClenahan built a practice across several state bars. He is licensed in New Mexico, Pennsylvania and Colorado. Over time he has moved between roles that required both courtroom work and detailed document drafting. That mix of tasks is reflected in the kinds of matters he takes on and how he prepares for them.

Much of his recent experience has been at Ogborn Mihm, LLP. There he worked alongside teams handling multi-jurisdictional matters. His time at the firm has involved coordinating filings across different states and working with local counsel where necessary. He has also been involved in the development of case strategy and the preparation of briefs and motions.

McClenahan belongs to professional bar associations in the states where he practices. He holds memberships in the State Bar of New Mexico and the Pennsylvania State Bar. Participation in those organizations keeps him connected to local rules, continuing legal education and peer networks. He uses those resources to stay current on procedural changes and case law that affect litigation practice in each jurisdiction.

Colleagues describe him as precise in preparation and steady in court. He balances attention to detail with an eye on practical outcomes. His files often require that kind of balance, because they involve procedural complexity that can shift with venue and local practice. He spends significant time preparing pleadings and analyzing regulatory materials when cases require it.

Outside the office he has engaged in professional development and ongoing study of evolving litigation trends. That work helps him adjust to shifting deadlines, differing evidentiary standards and new procedural rules. It also informs how he communicates with clients about realistic timelines and likely outcomes.

He currently practices at Ogborn Mihm, LLP, handling matters across the jurisdictions in which he is licensed.
