About Peter D. Singh
Peter D. Singh Jr. followed an unconventional path into law. He began in business school at Hofstra and finished at Duke Law, where he studied intellectual property and corporate law and earned his J.D. in 2015. The mix of business and legal training shows in the roles he took early in his career.
After law school he moved into associate roles and in-house work almost immediately. His resume includes an associate position at Winslett, Studnicky, McCormick & Bomser and a corporate counsel role at Eli Global. He worked as Manager of Advertising Royalties for Megatron Music Management and served as a summer associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath. He also spent time in judicial and extern positions during law school, including a judicial internship for the Honorable Gene E.K. Pratter and a legal externship with the Law Offices of Joshua Graubart. Those early experiences combined courtroom exposure, transactional work and industry-side perspectives.
Singh has handled disputes through multiple neutral roles. He is an arbitrator for FINRA and the Better Business Bureau, and he has served as a mediator in New York State Supreme Court matters. His mediation credentials include both basic and advanced commercial mediation training from the New York City Bar Association. He also holds federal court admissions in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and he is licensed to practice in New York, New Jersey and North Carolina. In addition to his lawyer licenses, he is a licensed real estate broker and a notary public in New York.
He has moved between law firms, in-house legal departments and regulatory or nonprofit service. From associate and counsel roles to a listed affiliation as a lawyer at Fourscore Business Law, his work spans transactional deals, entertainment and music industry matters, and regulatory disputes. He has acted as an arbitrator with FINRA and the Better Business Bureau since 2016 and 2018 respectively, and he maintains memberships in a range of bar and professional organizations, including the New York City Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the American Bar Association and several entertainment and industry-specific groups.
Colleagues and clients describe Singh as practical and versatile. He combines courtroom and negotiation experience with knowledge of corporate and entertainment structures. He also participates in pro bono and mentoring programs, including work for the Dramatists Legal Defense Fund and mentorship through practicing lawyers programs.
He practices business and entertainment law, intellectual property, corporate matters and dispute resolution.
