About Peter Asika
Peter Asika Maduabum trained at Seton Hall University School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2003. He entered the bar world at a time when the legal landscape was shifting fast. The early 2000s saw new cross-border business patterns and a push for alternative dispute mechanisms. Those changes have shaped how he practices today.
After law school Maduabum built a practice that spans the two major Northeastern jurisdictions where he is licensed: New Jersey and New York. He has worked on matters that require coordination across state lines and, when necessary, across different dispute forums. Over more than two decades in practice he has handled contested matters and transactional work, often where regulatory detail matters as much as the legal theory.
He pursued additional training through the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, earning certifications in Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution and in Capital Market Development and Regulation. Those programs brought an international perspective to questions that can arise in domestic cases. The arbitration and ADR credential supports work in out-of-court dispute resolution, while the capital market studies inform regulatory and compliance issues tied to financing and securities-related matters.
Maduabum practices at MADUABUM LAW FIRM, LLC. The firm’s matters reflect the combination of litigation and regulatory work that marks his career. He regularly engages with procedural complexities, whether arguing before tribunals or preparing documentation for regulatory review. Colleagues describe a lawyer who pays attention to the interplay between rule-based legal arguments and the practical decisions clients must make under pressure.
Outside specific certifications and court appearances, Maduabum’s legal approach is shaped by steady study and by adapting to shifting legal and business environments. He keeps up with developments in dispute resolution and market regulation through continued education and practice. In 2026 he remains based at MADUABUM LAW FIRM, LLC, handling arbitration, alternative dispute resolution, and capital market and regulatory matters.
