About Husain

Husain Gatlin built a legal foundation in the classroom before moving into practice. He earned a B.A. in Classics from Georgetown University in 2007 and completed his J.D. at Seton Hall University School of Law in 2012. Those years shaped his approach to legal reasoning and research. They also set the stage for a career that spans two state systems.

After law school Gatlin gained admission to practice in both New York and New Jersey. He has maintained active standing in those jurisdictions while developing experience across the everyday demands of practicing attorneys. Colleagues describe him as steady in court and deliberate at the desk. He has carried matters through procedural stages and appeared in filings and hearings in state courts.

Gatlin holds current memberships in professional associations. He participates in association activities that keep him connected to peers and developments in the law. Memberships have kept his network local and regional. They also provide regular opportunities to follow emerging case law and administrative changes in both New York and New Jersey.

Throughout his career Gatlin has balanced courtroom responsibilities with the steady work of client counseling. He approaches each matter with attention to factual detail and an eye toward practical resolution. His training in Classics and law school background inform a methodical approach to written advocacy. He favors clear, precise briefs and concise oral presentations.

Clients and other lawyers find that Gatlin manages the routine and the urgent with the same care. He is comfortable addressing procedural concerns, managing discovery, and preparing pleadings. He places emphasis on the fundamentals: timely communication, careful analysis, and disciplined preparation. Those elements shape how he organizes files and presents matters in court.

Today Gatlin practices law in New York and New Jersey. He continues to engage in professional groups and to handle matters in both states. His current practice focuses on legal matters in New York and New Jersey.
