Peggy Joyce Lantz is a dedicated family law attorney based in Houston, Texas. Specializing in divorce, bankruptcy, and estate planning, she has been practicing law in Texas since 1997. Ms. Lantz earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 1997, the same year she began her legal career. Prior to law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994, laying a strong foundation for her legal expertise. During her time at the University of Houston Law Center, Ms.
Lantz interned with the Harris County District Attorney's Office. This experience provided her with valuable insights into criminal law, which complements her family law practice. In her current role, she handles a variety of cases, including divorce, child custody, and property division. Additionally, she represents clients in bankruptcy proceedings and assists with estate planning—drafting wills and trusts to ensure her clients' wishes are honored. Before establishing her own practice in 2005, Ms. Lantz worked as an associate attorney at Smith & Johnson LLP in Houston from 1997 to 2004. This position allowed her to gain experience in both family law and bankruptcy cases.
