About Paula

Paula Clarity studied industrial and labor relations as an undergraduate before turning to law. She earned a B.A. from the State University of New York at Old Westbury in 1996 and later received her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2003. Those years set a clear trajectory: a practical interest in how workplaces operate and how law shapes those relationships.

After law school Clarity built a practice that moves between state and federal courts. She is admitted to practice in New York and North Carolina, and she holds admissions to the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. That combination of state and federal credentials has framed the kinds of matters she takes on and the venues in which she appears.

Her professional timeline includes the formation of a private practice presence in 2019. In that year she began practicing at Clarity Law PLLC and joined the North Carolina Bar Association. Those steps marked a period of geographic and professional expansion, as she balanced work across multiple jurisdictions while maintaining ties to New York practice.

Clarity’s academic background in industrial and labor relations informs how she approaches client matters. It colors the questions she asks, the records she pursues, and the way she evaluates disputes that touch on employment, workplace policy, and organizational structure. She brings that perspective into every file, whether the issues are procedural, contractual, or regulatory in nature.

Colleagues and clients describe her style as pragmatic and direct. She plans litigation with an eye toward the practical consequences for the parties involved. Her admissions to appellate and high federal forums mean she can carry matters beyond trial when necessary, and she has structured her practice to handle both trial-level and federal filings. She currently practices at Clarity Law PLLC, handling matters in New York and North Carolina courts and in federal courts including the Second Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
