About Paula C.

Paula C. Greenway built her legal foundation in Alabama. She earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and criminal justice from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1991. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law in 1996. Those years in Birmingham shaped both her interests and her career direction.

After law school, Greenway moved quickly into private practice. In 1996 she opened Greenway Bankruptcy Law, LLC and has operated it since. Running her own firm gave her day-to-day experience handling client matters, court appearances and the administrative side of legal work. She has remained in practice in Alabama for the entirety of her career.

Her professional memberships trace a steady presence in the state’s legal community. She has belonged to the Alabama State Bar Association since 1996 and holds current memberships in the Birmingham Bar Association and its Bankruptcy/Commercial Law Section. Nationally, she is a member of both the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers and the National Association of Consumer Lawyers. Those affiliations connect her to peers who handle consumer bankruptcy and related consumer-rights issues.

Greenway’s practice centers on bankruptcy matters. Over decades in practice she has handled personal and business filings, navigated Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases, and worked on issues that follow bankruptcy filings, such as creditor negotiations and post-discharge questions. She represents clients through the full bankruptcy process, from intake and paperwork to hearings in bankruptcy court. Her work involves daily interaction with trustees, creditors and court personnel.

Clients come to her for practical solutions to financial distress. She often deals with the particulars of household finances, debt restructuring, and the documentation that federal and local bankruptcy rules require. The rhythm of this work is procedural but rooted in individual circumstances, and Greenway’s caseload reflects that intersection of rules and people.

Outside the courtroom she has remained connected to the profession through continuing membership in local and national organizations. That engagement provides avenues for updates on case law and practice changes and keeps her informed about trends affecting consumer bankruptcy practice.

Greenway Bankruptcy Law, LLC remains her base of operations. She continues to represent individuals and small businesses in bankruptcy matters in Alabama, providing counsel and representation in consumer bankruptcy cases and related proceedings.
