About Paul Steven
Paul Steven Hacker has spent more than three decades in and around the practice of law. He earned his J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1993. That education shaped the early part of a career that later settled into private practice and bar leadership.
He is admitted to practice in Texas and has appellate admissions that include the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those credentials allow him to handle matters at state and federal levels, including appellate work when cases move beyond trial courts.
In 2005 he founded Hacker Law Office and continues to serve as its owner. Running a small firm has given him experience on both the legal and operational side of practice. He manages client matters, supervises case strategy, and attends to the office’s daily needs while overseeing litigation and filing work as required.
Hacker’s professional activity extends into the local bar. Since 2015 he has held the vice presidency of the San Antonio Bankruptcy Bar Association. In that role he has taken part in programming and membership activities, and he participates in the bar’s efforts to address practice issues that affect bankruptcy practitioners in the community.
His work centers on bankruptcy-related matters and litigation tied to insolvency and creditor-debtor disputes. He represents clients in filings and hearings and handles related adversary proceedings. He also takes appellate matters in the courts where he is admitted. At Hacker Law Office he continues to handle bankruptcy cases and associated litigation.
