About Bailey
Bailey VanNatta took a conventional academic route to law, earning a Bachelor of Arts in history from Baylor University in 2018 and a Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in 2022. She arrived at law school after undergraduate study shaped by an interest in legal history and public affairs. Those academic years put her on a clear path toward bar admission and courtroom work.
She began practicing soon after law school. In 2022 she served as an associate lawyer at Watts Guerra LLP. By 2024 she was listed as an associate at Guerra LLP. Those early years in firm practice exposed her to the daily demands of litigating cases, handling client communications, and preparing for hearings and trials. Her resume lists membership in several state bars, a detail that reflects early ambition and mobility in a legal career.
VanNatta holds admissions in Texas, Illinois, New Mexico, and Arizona. Beyond those credentials, she is active in professional groups that connect trial attorneys and younger lawyers. Her memberships include the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association, the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association, and the Bexar County Women’s Bar Association. She also belongs to the American Association for Justice, the Illinois and New Mexico state bars, the State Bar of Arizona, Phi Alpha Delta, and the Texas Bar College. Those affiliations provide a network of peers, continuing legal education, and forums for discussing courtroom practice.
Colleagues describe her as an attorney who moves steadily through casework. She has handled case preparation, discovery, and motion practice while contributing to trial strategy and client counseling. Her multistate licensure allows her to work on matters that cross geographic lines, permitting representation in several regional courts. She has drawn on the resources of local and national bar groups to remain current on procedural rules and trial procedures.
VanNatta remains involved in local legal circles in San Antonio and beyond, balancing bar activities with firm responsibilities. She continues to build on the foundation of her Baylor education and the hands-on experience gained at Watts Guerra LLP and Guerra LLP. She is currently an associate at Watts Guerra LLP, handling matters for clients across the states in which she is admitted.
