About Paul G.
Paul G. Stracci trained as a lawyer in the Midwest. He earned a B.S. in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago in 1993 and a J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1997. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the courts of Indiana.
Stracci began his legal career the year he finished law school, joining Cohen and Thiros PC as an associate in 1997. He spent more than a decade developing courtroom experience and client work that led to a partnership in 2008 at Thiros and Stracci PC. That move marked a shift from associate responsibilities to managing cases and mentoring younger lawyers.
In 2014 he became a partner at Johnson, Stracci & Ivancevich LLP. Two years later he founded Stracci Criminal Defense, PC and served as its president. In 2019 he reorganized his practice under the name Stracci Law Group, PC and took on the role of president there. Those leadership roles reflect steady practice-building rather than sudden reinvention.
His practice centers on criminal defense, and he has pursued specialized training to support that work. He completed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Practitioner’s Course and the 12-Step Drug Recognition Expert Mini-Course. He also holds membership in the National College for DUI Defense, a professional organization that offers continuing education and case law updates for lawyers who handle impaired-driving cases.
Over the years Stracci has handled matters at trial and on appeal. He has experience in state courts across Indiana and has appeared in federal appellate proceedings in the Seventh Circuit. He also has the credential to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court. Colleagues describe him as practical in court and methodical in preparation. Clients have brought a range of criminal matters to his office, including DUI and related charges.
Today he leads the attorneys and staff at Stracci Law Group, PC. The firm maintains an active criminal defense practice and represents clients in DUI-related proceedings. He practices at Stracci Law Group, PC, where his work centers on criminal defense and DUI matters.
