About Natasha Marie

Natasha Marie Ivancevich built a compact but varied legal résumé in a few years. She earned a J.D. from Appalachian School of Law and went on to complete an LL.M. in American and Transnational Law at the University of Dayton School of Law in 2021. The additional graduate study positioned her to tackle cross-border and regulatory questions that can complicate modern practice.

Early in her post-graduate years she moved into both teaching and practice. In 2021 she served as an adjunct professor at Olive Harvey College, teaching a course titled Cannabis and the Law. That classroom post put her in direct contact with the policy and regulatory debates surrounding an industry that has been expanding unevenly across state lines.

Also in 2021 she launched Ivancevich Legal, LLC. The firm serves clients in Illinois and Indiana, jurisdictions where she is authorized to practice. Starting a small firm allowed her to combine courtroom and transactional work under one roof. She handles client intake, research, and case strategy herself in many matters, while drawing on outside counsel when cases require additional resources.

Her technical skills include multiple Thomson Reuters certifications in Westlaw. She holds the Westlaw Transactional Research Certification, the Westlaw Advanced Legal Research Certification, and the Westlaw Litigation Research Certification. These credentials speak to a deliberate attention to research techniques across transactional and litigation settings. Colleagues describe her approach as meticulous; she prefers to ground arguments in primary law and clear statutory interpretation.

Ivancevich’s background in both a conventional J.D. program and an American and transnational LL.M. gives her a wider array of tools than many lawyers at the start of their careers. Her classroom work on cannabis law and the mix of litigation and transactional training shapes the matters she accepts. At Ivancevich Legal, LLC she represents individuals and businesses in matters that often touch on regulatory compliance, licensing, and discrete commercial disputes. Her current practice concentrates on regulatory and business matters for clients in Illinois and Indiana.
