About Paul

Paul Crochet entered law after a first career interest in numbers. He earned a B.A. in accounting from the University of Central Florida and completed his legal studies at Stetson University College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2014. The mix of accounting and law has shaped how he approaches evidence and case strategy.

He practices in Florida and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Those credentials allow him to handle matters in both state and federal forums. Early in his career he pursued courtroom experience and became involved in local bar activities that emphasize trial work and professional development.

Crochet is an active member of several local legal organizations. He holds membership in the St. Petersburg Bar Young Lawyers Section, participates in the Pinellas County Trial Lawyers association, and belongs to the Barney Masterson Inn of Court. These memberships provide regular opportunities for case discussion, mentorship and continuing legal education. Colleagues describe him as someone who seeks practical solutions and prepares thoroughly for hearings and trials.

His background in accounting informs a pragmatic view of litigation. He draws on that training when reviewing financial records, calculating damages and preparing economic analyses for use at trial. That skill set can be relevant in cases that turn on financial details, whether proving loss or defending against complex claims.

Within the courtroom, Crochet has focused on developing litigation skills. He has pursued trial experience in both state courts and the Middle District federal court. He is comfortable preparing pleadings, taking depositions and handling pretrial motion practice, and he approaches each matter with an emphasis on clarity and organization.

Outside of casework he remains engaged with peers through the Bar and Inn of Court programs. Those settings offer opportunities to teach and learn about evolving practice issues. Through participation in local legal groups he has built a network of colleagues across Pinellas County and the broader Tampa Bay legal community.

He continues to practice law in Florida, handling disputes in state and federal courts and applying his combined legal and accounting background to the work at hand. His current practice centers on litigation in state and federal courts.
