About Paul

Paul Begemann studied political science at the University of Connecticut before turning to law. He earned a B.S. in Political Science in 1980, then continued his legal education at The George Washington University Law School, receiving his J.D. in 1987. His academic path combined an interest in government and public affairs with formal training in law.

After law school Begemann built a career in Connecticut’s legal community. He has long been active in the state’s professional circles and maintains memberships in the Connecticut Bar Association and the New Haven County Bar Association. Those memberships have kept him connected to developments in state law and to colleagues across practice areas.

Across decades in the profession, Begemann has relied on the analytical habits honed during his undergraduate studies and the legal training he received in Washington, D.C. He approaches matters with attention to statutory detail and court procedure. He also places emphasis on explaining options clearly to clients so they can make informed decisions.

Begemann’s work has taken place in the Connecticut legal environment. He has handled matters for local individuals and businesses and has appeared before state tribunals when representation was required. Colleagues describe him as steady and methodical; clients who return to an attorney do so because they find reliable counsel in often unsettled situations.

In professional settings Begemann participates in continuing legal education and bar association activities. His membership in the New Haven County Bar Association has kept him engaged with issues that affect lawyers in the region. Membership in the Connecticut Bar Association provides access to resources and practice updates across the state.

His training at George Washington and his undergraduate study at the University of Connecticut continue to inform his work. The combination of political science and law gives him a practical lens for understanding how legal rules interact with public policy and everyday decisions. It also helps him describe complex material in plain language for clients.

He currently practices law in Connecticut, serving clients from his local practice and remaining active in the state’s bar organizations.
