Before establishing his private practice, he was a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney from 1993 to 1994, gaining experience in federal law enforcement and prosecution. In 2021, the State Bar of Arizona imposed a one-year suspension on Mr. Bays, effective February 16, 2021, due to professional misconduct. This suspension was concurrent with another suspension imposed in 2020, and he was ordered to pay restitution of $7,500.00 to a client.
Despite these challenges, Mr. Bays remains a member of the Arizona State Bar and is also admitted to practice in several federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. Court of Veterans Appeals. U.S. Court of Military Appeals. Fluent in English and conversational in Spanish, he continues to advocate for his clients with dedication and resilience.
