About D Christopher
D Christopher Russell took a nontraditional route into law. He began with a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Eastern Washington University. He then earned his J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1993. That combination of business training and legal education informs the cases he brings and the decisions he makes.
Russell has built a practice around courtroom work. He is a lawyer at The Russell s Law Office, PLC. Over the years he has handled matters that required tenacity and detailed preparation. He represents clients in trials and hearings and moves cases through complex litigation processes when necessary.
He is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions. Those admissions include Washington and Arizona, as well as Idaho. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit. Those credentials allow him to take cases beyond a single state and to file appeals or petitions in federal venues when the facts require it.
Peers have recognized his work. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. His professional memberships include the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, the American Institute of Personal Injury Lawyers and the American Institute of Criminal Law Lawyers. He is also listed among The National Trial Lawyers' Top 100 Trial Lawyers. Those affiliations reflect an emphasis on trial practice and involvement in professional networks focused on litigation.
The Russell s Law Office, PLC maintains a presence in more than one location. The firm operates a Tucson office and a Deer Park office, in addition to its primary practice. Those offices allow him to accept cases in different communities and to appear locally when in-person representation matters to a client.
His work mixes courtroom advocacy and case management. He prepares for trial, argues motions, handles discovery disputes and pursues appeals when appropriate. He draws on business training for case strategy and on years of litigation for courtroom poise. He has worked across state and federal forums and is comfortable taking cases to higher courts when litigation moves beyond a trial court.
He currently concentrates on trial work that includes personal injury and criminal matters.
