About Patrick Kyle
Patrick Kyle Faherty grew up during a period of shifting legal landscapes and came to law after completing a liberal arts education. He earned a B.A. from Boston College in 1995 and continued his legal training at Suffolk University Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2000. Those formative years shaped a straightforward approach to legal work: careful preparation, plainspoken explanation and attention to process.
After law school Faherty entered practice in Massachusetts. He is admitted to the Massachusetts bar and to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Over the years he has handled matters that required attention in both state and federal venues. He is comfortable in court settings and in the quieter work of filings and brief writing that precede hearings.
Colleagues describe his style as methodical rather than flashy. He prefers clarity to flourish. He aims to make complex legal issues accessible to clients and opposing counsel alike. That posture has informed how he manages cases: a steady cadence of investigation, pleading, motion work and preparation for hearings. He shapes arguments for judges and writes them for peers.
Faherty’s education in Boston and at Suffolk placed him at the center of Massachusetts legal life. The Boston College undergraduate experience emphasized critical reading and writing. Suffolk Law added procedure and advocacy. Those twin influences are visible in the way he organizes a case file and frames legal questions. He pays attention to both the law on the books and the practical realities of getting matters resolved in court.
Beyond courtroom appearances, he has been involved in the routine legal work that keeps cases moving—drafting motions, negotiating schedules, and advising clients on timing and risks. He values clear communication about likely outcomes and works to align strategy with what each client can reasonably expect. He also balances short-term tactical choices against longer-term objectives in litigation.
Today Faherty continues to practice in Massachusetts and appears in federal matters before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He handles matters brought in both state and federal courts in Massachusetts, focusing his current practice on matters that require litigation in those forums.
