About Patrick K

Patrick K Yeatts moved into law after studying philosophy as an undergraduate. He took a steady path through legal education and early public-service work before opening his own practice.

Yeatts earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Hampden-Sydney College in 2007. He then attended Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, receiving his Juris Doctor in 2010. Those academic steps set the groundwork for a practice rooted in courtroom procedure and client counseling.

He began his legal career at The Legal Aid Society of Birmingham in 2010. There he practiced as a lawyer, gaining experience in casework and client representation on issues handled by the office. That early stint in a public-interest setting shaped how he approaches individual client matters today.

In 2014 Yeatts established The Yeatts Law Office, LLC and took on the role of owner and lawyer. His professional credentials include certification as a Guardian Ad Litem through the Administrative Office of Courts and a certification in Collaborative Law from the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Those certifications reflect an interest in both court-appointed guardianship work and voluntary, negotiated dispute resolution methods.

Yeatts has been involved in the local and state bar communities since 2010. His memberships include the Birmingham Bar Association and the Alabama State Bar Association. He joined the Family Law Section of the Birmingham Bar Association and the Birmingham Collaborative Alliance in 2014, and he has participated in the Solo/Small Practice Section since the same year. In 2013 he served as co-chairman of the Family, Domestic Relations & Juvenile Court Procedures Committee, a role that placed him in discussions about practice procedures and rules affecting family-court matters.

His practice is centered in Alabama. He handles matters that commonly arise in family and domestic relations settings, and he also serves as a guardian ad litem in appropriate cases. At The Yeatts Law Office, LLC he applies collaborative processes alongside traditional litigation when circumstances allow. His current practice centers on family and collaborative law matters.
