Patrick Cook is a seasoned trial lawyer specializing in personal injury and workers' compensation cases. His legal career began after he earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Seattle University School of Law in 1998. A member of the Washington State Bar Association since December 1, 1998, Patrick has dedicated over two decades to advocating for clients in various legal arenas. During his formative years as a lawyer, Patrick gained inexperience clerking for The Honorable Ricardo S. Martinez in both the King County Superior Court and the U.S.
District Court for the Western District of Washington. This clerkship, which spanned from 1997 to 1998, gave him a understanding of judicial processes and the details of the law. Following his clerkship, he joined the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where he served as a Deputy Prosecutor from 1998 to 2007. In this role, he managed and tried large felony case loads across multiple divisions, including the Drug, Trial Teams, Domestic Violence, and Special Assault Divisions. His work in these high-pressure environments developed his litigation skills and provided him with a robust foundation in criminal law.
In addition to his trial work, Patrick took on supervisory responsibilities within the Juvenile Division of the Prosecutor’s Office. He trained and mentored less experienced attorneys, emphasizing the importance of ethical practice and effective advocacy.
