Pamela C. Mathiesen is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1998 and holds bar number 196018. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Mathiesen is a partner at Beck & Mathiesen, APC, a law firm located in Santa Cruz, California. She has been practicing law for over 28 years, serving clients throughout Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties.
Ms. Mathiesen earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Monterey College of Law in 1987. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at San Jose State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1981. During her time at Monterey College of Law, she developed a strong foundation in legal principles, which has been instrumental in her successful legal career.
Ms. Mathiesen concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate law and business law. She represents individuals and businesses in matters involving real estate transactions, property disputes, and business formation and dissolution. Her practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mathiesen has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Santa Cruz, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Santa Cruz for several years.
Ms. Mathiesen is an active member of the Santa Cruz County Bar Association, where she has served as President. She is also a member of the Santa Cruz County Trial Lawyers Association and the Women Lawyers of Santa Cruz County. Additionally, she has been involved in various community organizations, including serving on the board of Siena House and volunteering with the Santa Cruz County High School Mock Trial Program. Ms. Mathiesen is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to serve the diverse communities of Santa Cruz County effectively.
