About Pamela
Pamela Kong began her academic journey at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1999. She continued her studies at Golden Gate University School of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 2002. Her legal education placed her in two different California legal communities, one rooted in the university environment of Los Angeles and the other in the practice-oriented atmosphere of San Francisco.
After law school, Kong entered practice in California and developed ties across the state's legal community. She maintains membership in the California State Bar. Over time she has balanced private practice responsibilities with public-interest work, offering pro bono and volunteer services that reflect a sustained interest in employment issues and worker protections.
Kong holds a role as Of Counsel at Salinas Law Group. In that capacity she advises on matters that regularly arise in employment law and related civil litigation. The Of Counsel title often brings a mix of casework, advisory tasks and mentoring for firm colleagues. At Salinas Law Group she contributes to case strategy and client counseling while collaborating with trial teams when matters proceed to litigation.
Her community and professional involvement extends beyond firm walls. She is a current member of the Asian American Bar Association, where she participates in programming and networking that address professional development and community representation. She also volunteers with the Legal Aid Society Employment Law Center, assisting individuals who face workplace disputes, wage-and-hour questions and other employment-related challenges. That volunteer work keeps her in close contact with front-line client issues and with changes in employment law that affect low- and moderate-income workers.
Colleagues describe Kong as methodical in case preparation and attentive in client interviews. She tends to approach complex employment matters by breaking them into concrete legal questions and then assembling the evidence to answer those questions. That style suits the often-document-heavy nature of employment disputes, where records and timelines matter.
Kong practices in California and navigates the state’s statutory and regulatory landscape in her work. Her caseload includes individual employment disputes and related civil matters that arise from workplace relationships. She balances private practice commitments and volunteer efforts while serving as Of Counsel at Salinas Law Group. Her current practice centers on employment law and related civil litigation at Salinas Law Group.
