About Paige L.

Paige L. Carlos earned her law degree from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2012 after completing a bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies at Colgate University in 2009. Her academic path combined a liberal arts foundation with three years of legal training at a school known for practical skills training and public interest orientation. She graduated into a competitive market during a period of careful hiring by many firms.

Her earliest legal experiences came in 2010, while she was still in law school. She served as a legal intern at NeJame Law and at Pardy & Rodriguez, P.A., and worked as a summer research clerk for Denis Borges Barbosa, Advogados. Those placements exposed her to varied legal settings and to day-to-day tasks of case preparation, client intake and legal research. The internships also gave her a chance to observe courtroom practice and the administrative work involved in maintaining active caseloads.

Carlos began her post-graduate legal career in 2012 as an associate at the Law Offices of J. Bernard Chery, P.A. There she handled assignments typical for a junior associate, including drafting pleadings, conducting research and supporting trial preparation. In 2014 she returned to NeJame Law, this time as an associate lawyer. That move marked a transition from short-term internships to a settled role at a larger practice and signaled continuity in her professional relationships.

Outside of her day-to-day work, she has been involved in local bar activities. Since 2012 she has served as co-chair of the Judicial Investiture Committee for the Orange County Bar Association. In that capacity she has participated in coordinating investiture events and in the procedural work that supports judicial transitions. Her sustained committee service underscores an interest in the institutions that support the local bench and bar.

Colleagues describe Carlos as methodical in legal research and attentive in client communications. Her experience spans several law office environments, from small firm settings to a larger practice where she returned as an associate. The sequence of internships, clerkship and associate roles gave her repeated exposure to courtroom routines, client counseling and the mechanics of litigation support.

She practices at NeJame Law, where she continues her legal work as an associate handling matters assigned by the firm. Her current practice emphasizes the responsibilities typical of an associate attorney at her firm.
