About Oscar
Oscar Salgado took an uncommon path to the practice of law. He studied history at Antillean Adventist University, completing a Bachelor of Arts in 2011. That background in historical inquiry informs the way he reads records and structures arguments. He turned to law almost a decade later and graduated from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2020.
His years in law school were followed by admission to practice in Florida. He has built his career in that state, handling matters that require an understanding of local courts and statutes. Colleagues describe him as methodical; he approaches cases the way a historian approaches primary sources. He looks for context and then tests how the law applies.
Salgado’s training in history and law gives him a layered perspective. The historical discipline trained him to weigh competing accounts and prioritize evidence. The legal training taught him how to translate those findings into arguments that judges and opposing counsel can evaluate. Those strands come together in his work, where attention to detail matters as much as persuasive writing.
He has experience across the phases of representation that most clients encounter: intake and investigation, drafting pleadings and motions, and courtroom appearances. He concentrates on developing factual narratives that align with the applicable law. He also spends time preparing discovery and managing case files so that no detail is overlooked. He favors clarity in written work and directness in oral presentations.
Outside the office, Salgado remains connected to the communities that shaped his education. His undergraduate years on an island campus and his later time at a historically Black law school inform how he thinks about access to legal services and the importance of clear communication. Those influences show up in the practical way he prepares clients for hearings and in his careful explanations of legal options.
As a Florida-licensed attorney, he continues to practice in the state and work on matters that arise under Florida law. His current practice concentrates on advising clients on matters arising under Florida law.
