About P. Adam
P. Adam Militello earned his law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2007 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in music at SUNY Oneonta in 1994. His academic record pairs a liberal arts background with formal legal training. He arrived in practice equipped to handle criminal matters and courtroom work, a path reflected in the roles he took early in his career.
He is licensed to practice in New York and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York. Militello began his legal work as an associate at Brown & Hutchinson in 2008. The following year he stepped into two different roles: he became a partner at Michalski Militello and took on a leadership post as director at Genesee Valley Legal Aid, Inc. Those positions placed him on both sides of client representation and organizational management. In 2014 he founded Militello Law Office and has run the practice since then.
Militello’s professional associations reflect the areas in which he spends most of his time. He holds memberships in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National College of DUI Defense. He has been a member of the Monroe County Bar Association since 2008 and joined the Livingston County Bar Association in 2009, serving as its secretary from 2012 to 2013. These affiliations have kept him connected to colleagues and to ongoing developments in criminal and drunk-driving law.
Throughout his career he has handled a range of criminal matters at state and federal levels. His work includes representation of clients charged with misdemeanors and felonies, and he has taken cases through pretrial proceedings and trial. He also represents individuals facing impaired driving charges and related administrative proceedings. Admission to the federal district court has allowed him to accept matters that reach beyond state jurisdiction.
Colleagues and opponents describe him as thorough in preparation and direct in court. He balances courtroom work with the administrative demands of running a small practice. That balance informs how he approaches case strategy and client communication. He continues to maintain memberships in national and local bar organizations and to serve clients from his office in New York.
He currently concentrates his practice on criminal defense and DUI matters at Militello Law Office, PLLC.
