About Omer Ramiro

Omer Ramiro Gurion built his legal foundation at Arizona State University. He earned a B.S. in 2007 and a J.D. from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law in 2010. The curriculum and clinics at ASU shaped his early interest in criminal defense and public service.

He began his career in public defense. In 2011 he worked as an Assistant Legal Defender at the Yuma County Legal Defender's Office. The following year he joined the Maricopa County Public Defender's Office as a Deputy Public Defender, handling a steady docket of state-level matters and developing trial experience. That early period in county defender offices gave him repeated courtroom exposure and a sense of how criminal cases unfold from arrest through trial and sentencing.

After several years in public service, he moved into private practice. Records show he was at DM Cantor in 2016 and later joined Rosenstein Law Group PLLC in 2020. Those roles expanded his experience beyond county courtrooms to more varied practice settings. He now operates under the name Gurion Legal, where he represents clients in both Arizona and California.

Gurion is certified as a Criminal Law Specialist by the State Bar of Arizona’s Board of Legal Specialization. That credential signals focused study and peer review in criminal law. He also maintains memberships in professional organizations that keep him engaged with developments in defense practice. He is active in the National Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers and Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice. He is also a member of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.

Colleagues describe him as straightforward in court and attentive to procedural detail. He has worked on pretrial motions, evidentiary hearings and jury trials. His background in county public defender offices informs how he manages caseloads and communicates with clients under pressure. In private practice he draws on that practical experience while navigating the different timelines and resources of civil and criminal calendars.

He is admitted to practice in California and Arizona and appears in federal court in Arizona. He combines trial experience from public defense with private-practice work that spans state and federal matters. He practices at Gurion Legal, concentrating on criminal defense in Arizona and California.
