About Olivia R.
Olivia R. Ponce earned her J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law in 2019 after completing a B.A. in Philosophy at Dallas Baptist University in 2014. She moved from undergraduate studies in North Texas to law school in Florida, then returned to Texas to build a practice rooted in local courts and community organizations.
Ponce began her post-law-school firm work as an associate at Davidson Law Group in 2021. She spent the next year at Doster Law Group, joining that firm in 2022. In 2023 she became an associate at Minor & Jester, P.C., where she continues to work. Her career path shows steady progression through regional firms and increasing responsibility on client matters.
In firm roles Ponce has taken on the routine but essential tasks that keep cases moving. Her work has included legal research, drafting motions and pleadings, preparing discovery, and assisting at hearings and client meetings. Colleagues describe her as organized in file management and attentive to procedural detail. She has worked on matters that require coordination with opposing counsel, court clerks, and expert witnesses.
Outside the office, Ponce maintains active professional memberships. She is a current member of the State Bar of Texas and of the College of the State Bar of Texas. Locally, she belongs to the Denton Bar Association. Since 2022 she has served on the board of Journey to Dream, Denton County, a nonprofit that works on community programming. Those activities keep her connected to developments in Texas practice and to the Denton legal community where she trained and now works.
Ponce’s educational background in philosophy and law shapes how she approaches issues. She tends to frame problems in terms of clear premises and practical outcomes. That method informs how she structures briefs and assesses risk for clients.
She practices law in Texas and maintains an office with Minor & Jester, P.C. Her current work involves handling a variety of matters for clients in the state and supporting the firm’s litigation and transactional work as needed.
