About Christopher B.
Christopher B. Henry built a varied academic foundation before entering the law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2002. He returned to school for an MBA in Logistics Management at the University of North Texas, completed in 2005. He finished his legal education with a Juris Doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2008.
Henry began practicing almost immediately after law school. He opened the Law Office of Christopher Henry in 2008 and moved to a role at Minor & Jester, P.C. in 2009. That combination of solo practice and firm work gave him a broad view of client needs. He also took on bar work in Denton County, serving as chair of the Denton County Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section in 2014.
Bankruptcy law has occupied much of Henry’s professional life. He has been a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys since 2013 and maintained long-standing involvement in the Denton Bar Association and its bankruptcy section through 2021. Those roles reflect regular engagement with consumer bankruptcy practice, creditor-debtor matters, and local bankruptcy procedure.
His admissions cover federal and state forums. He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and practices in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is also a Certified Texas Mediator, credentialed through the Texas Mediator Trainers Roundtable, which allows him to handle settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution in appropriate matters.
Colleagues describe him as practical in approach and direct in courtroom settings. He has handled a range of chapter 7 and chapter 13 cases, as well as related adversary proceedings. The combination of an engineering undergraduate degree and an MBA contributes a methodical approach to case analysis and to issues involving financial documentation.
Today he is part of the team at Minor & Jester, P.C., where he continues to work on bankruptcy cases and related litigation. His practice includes consumer bankruptcy representation, creditor rights work, and mediation services in bankruptcy-related disputes.
