About Nuo Jia
Nuo Jia Li began her academic journey in the sciences before turning to law. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Windsor, completing that degree in 2010. Later she pursued legal studies and received a Juris Doctor in 2014 after attending the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. In 2021 she completed a Harvard program in Financial Analysis and Valuation for Lawyers.
Her background in health care gives her an unusual path to the bar. After finishing law school in 2014 she qualified to practice in both Michigan and New York. Early legal work included roles that drew on both clinical and regulatory knowledge, and those early experiences shaped the practical approach she brings to client matters.
Li founded her own practice in 2017. Records list her as owner of Alpine Law LLC, and she maintains an office under the Alpine Law PLLC name. Since launching the firm she has handled a variety of matters on behalf of individual and business clients. Running a small practice means she manages both client-facing work and the business of law. She has said that building a firm required learning how to balance casework, client intake, and administrative responsibilities.
Colleagues describe her style as methodical. She tends to break complex problems into discrete parts before proposing next steps. That habit reflects training across two fields: clinical nursing and legal analysis. Her Harvard coursework in financial analysis complements that approach by adding a quantitative layer to legal assessments.
Li remains active across the jurisdictions where she is licensed. She accepts matters in Michigan and New York and organizes her practice to serve clients in both places. Over time she has adjusted the firm’s services to match client needs and to align with regulatory developments in those states.
She divides her time between casework and managing the practice. Clients benefit from direct contact with the attorney who oversees strategy and file management. Her current practice concentrates on representing clients in matters arising in Michigan and New York through Alpine Law PLLC.
