About Noah Sklar

Noah Sklar Hurwitz earned his law degree from Loyola University Chicago in 2010 after completing his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University in 2003. His academic path combined large-university experience with law-school training in a major Midwestern city. That background provided early exposure to both classroom theory and practical legal work.

He spent part of his early legal training as a judicial intern in two federal district courts. Those stints—one at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and another at the Eastern District of Louisiana—placed him in the midst of federal dockets and courtroom procedure. The internships involved legal research, drafting bench memoranda and observing hearings, and they helped shape his understanding of federal practice.

After law school he moved into private practice and community legal work. He has been active in bar organizations that reflect his interests in courtroom practice and labor issues. He is a current member of the Washtenaw County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He also belongs to the American Bar Associations Section of Labor and Employment Law. Since 2010 he has been involved with a Character and Fitness Committee and a Civil Litigation Section, serving in roles that involve evaluation of fitness to practice and engagement with civil trial practice topics.

Hurwitzs experience spans courtroom preparation, civil litigation and employment-law matters. His federal internships and membership in the Federal Bar Association give him familiarity with federal procedures, while his ABA section affiliation signals regular engagement with labor and employment developments. He has worked on pleadings, discovery strategies and motion practice, and he has represented clients in contested proceedings at various stages of litigation.

He founded Hurwitz Law PLLC and practices under that firm name. At the firm he handles cases that require attention to trial-readiness and procedural detail. Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and rigorous in legal research. Clients have sought his help in disputes arising under employment statutes and in broader civil litigation matters.

Outside the office he remains tied to local and federal bar circles, attending section meetings and contributing to committee work on character and fitness issues. That involvement keeps him current on changes in rules and professional standards. He maintains an active practice at Hurwitz Law PLLC focused on employment and civil litigation in Michigan.
